10 Apr WisDOT Preps for NFL Draft
With the draft set to bring major traffic surges, WisDOT is working hard to ensure the event is a success—making sure the roads are safe and the traffic flows without a hitch.
Here’s what OSOW travelers need to know:
- Single-Trip Permits will have restricted travel on key roadways in the Green Bay area.
- Multiple-Trip Permit holders are asked to avoid the impacted areas.
Restrictions in the Green Bay Area
- Green Bay Area: No interior travel between I-41 and I-43 including routes STH 29, 32, 54, 57, and 141 from 6AM on April 22 to 6AM on April 28.
- STH 172 (westbound): From I-43 to I-41, no travel from 6AM to 9PM daily between April 22-27.
- STH 172 (eastbound): From I-41 to I-43, no travel from 3PM to 2AM daily between April 22 – morning of April 28.
Restrictions Outside the Green Bay Area
The traffic impact won’t be limited to Green Bay itself. Oversized vehicles traveling outside the Green Bay area should be aware of the following restrictions:
- I-43 Northbound from the Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee to I-41 in Green Bay will have restrictions:
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 22-23
- Daily 6AM-9PM: April 24-26
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 27
- I-41 Northbound from the Zoo Interchange in Milwaukee to I-43 in Green Bay:
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 22-23
- Daily 6AM-9PM: April 24-26
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 27
- STH 29 Eastbound from I-39 in Wausau to I-41 in Green Bay:
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 22-23 (Brown County only)
- Daily 6AM-9PM: April 24-26 (entire stretch)
- Daily 6AM-6PM: April 27 (Brown County only)
- I-43 Southbound from I-41 in Green Bay to the Marquette Interchange in Milwaukee:
- Daily 7PM-3AM: April 22 to the morning of April 28
- I-41 Southbound from I-43 in Green Bay to the Zoo Interchange in Milwaukee:
- Daily 7PM-3AM: April 22 to the morning of April 28
- STH 29 Westbound from I-41 in Green Bay to I-39 in Wausau:
- Daily 3PM-2AM: April 22-23 (Brown County only)
- Daily 3PM-2AM: April 24-26 (entire stretch)
- Daily 3PM-2AM: April 27 to the morning of April 28 (Brown County only)
